The Herbert C.Kelman Lecture.

October 1, 2024
Mandela's Leadership Blueprint - the Future of Leadership. The Herbert C. Kelman Seminar on International Conflict Analysis and Resolution series is sponsored by the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School and The Weatherhead Center for International Affairs. The seminar explores strategies to enhance the capacity to prevent, resolve, and transform ethnonational conflicts.
About the talk: Anne Pratt believes we have a leadership and existential crisis worldwide. The world is in a pivotal “Mandela Moment,” a twin pillar moment of despair and hope with global threats that transcend our national borders. Nelson Mandela transformed himself, changed a nation, and galvanized the world. As Mandela did for South Africa, today’s we need a “super cognitive revolution and bold leadership—a revolutionary new way to think, act and lead.” Pratt will present how Mandela’s Leadership Blueprint is “what the world needs now.” The life, leadership, and legacy of Mandela offer an empirical case of hope and possibility for today’s world.

Gilpin-Jackson, Yabome; Owusu, Sarah; Okonkwo, Judith. We Will Lead Africa: VOLUME FOUR: Courage, Community, Creativity. (p. 36). We Will Lead Africa. Kindle Edition. Courage, Community, Creativity is the fourth volume of the We Will Lead Africa (WWLA) series. It is a WWLA Griot volume, curated out of the experience and writings of the second WWLA Griot Masterclass cohort. This cohort recognized that everyday African leadership requires the courage to lead with curiosity and compassion, the empowerment and support of a community, and the creativity to blend the wisdom of our ancestry with a vision for the future.
